The Prodrive AVIDIS system is a Video-over-IP solution for low-latency, uncompressed video distribution. Certified for medical applications.

Hybrid operating rooms (ORs) have many sources of imagery and footage, such as images from various imaging modalities (CT, MR, digital X-ray) and livestreams (endoscopes, interventional X-ray). This information is generated in various physical locations and needs to be available on displays for medical personnel in various screens in the OR.

Our audio-video distribution (AVIDIS) systems connects these many sources and sinks without the need to have computers at each of these locations. Using a proprietary protocol, we transmit up to 4K video lossless from any source to any sink. Our software adds functionality such as cropping, scaling, and overlaying. Combine up to 8 sources onto a single large display using our advanced composting functionality.

  • Which video standards are supported?

    Compact series support HDMI and Displayport.

    Custom solutions with VGA, DVI and SDI are also possible.

  • Is the AVIDIS solution used for video extension only, or fully flexibile any-to-any routing?

    AVIDIS allows fully flexible routing of any video source to any destination, in combination with a standard 10GbE switch. Besides that, audio, USB, 1GbE, GPIO and serial connections can be routed independent of the video routes.

    Routes can be changed dynamically with a software API.

    AVIDIS can also be used as an extender, when devices are connected point-to-point.

  • What video processing functions are supported?

    AVIDIS supports a wide range of video processing functions. Combine multiple video sources on a single display using our video compositor.

    Other processing functions include video scaling, cropping, filtering, color space conversion, stereo video processing, LUTs, 3DLUTs. Other processing functions are available on request.

    All video processing functions can be controlled using our software API.
