Hydra is the next generation of rectifiers for electrolyzers, based on a SiC MOSFET topology. Compared to traditional IGBT or thyristor rectifiers, it delivers higher efficiency across the entire load range, fast response times, a smaller footprint due to lower losses and fewer compensation components, and superior grid and stack compatibility.

    Because of the SiC (silicon carbide) MOSFET transistors higher switching frequencies can be used resulting in lower power losses

    THDi < 1% results in grid stability without the need for additional STATCOMS or external filters
